Q: How does Wine & Design work?

A: We are a paint & sip studio that puts the ART in pARTy. We provide 2-hour instructional painting classes by a professional artist. Our in-studio events are BYOB. You may bring your favorite beverage (wine, beer or non-alcoholic beverage) and any snack, appetizer or dessert to paint with us. Finger foods are best! In class, our artist teaches you step-by-step every brushstroke while you sip your favorite beverage. At the end of class you take home your finished masterpiece! Included in the class are all the paint supplies and the instruction time by the artist. We provide plastic cups, wine bottle openers, and ice buckets. You bring the ice.

Q: What should I wear to class?

A: We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes to paint in class with us. We do not recommend dressing in your "Sunday best." All guests are provided an apron at check-in.

Q: Do I need to reserve my seats in advance? 

A: Yes, payment online for our classes is required as it is the only way to guarantee a seat in our classes. To reserve a seat for an upcoming class, visit our online calendar and click on the night or painting class you would like to attend. Then, select the number of seats you will need and complete the check-out process. We accept all major credit cards. If you are unable to complete your payment online, please call the studio to register over the phone at 704.951.5916.

Q: Can I pay at the door?

A: If you would like to pay at the door, please call the studio to make arrangements. Your seats are not guaranteed or secured without payment as the event may sell-out online. We may hold your seats if you would like to pay at the door but in the event the class sells out online, your seats are not guaranteed. To pay at the door, arrive 40 minutes early to class for check-in and making a payment.

Q: I have a Gift Certificate. How do I sign-up for a class with a Gift Certificate?

A: We offer gift certificates and gift cards. Gift certificates that were purchased online will have a long certificate number and they can be redeemed online by creating an account. To redeem your gift certificates, simply CLICK HERE to create an account online. Once you are signed up, please bring your gift certificate to class.

If you have a gift card with a 3-digit number on the back of the gift card, please call our studio to register your seats in a class. If you need assistance or have any questions, please call the studio 704.951.5916 and don't forget to bring your gift card to class.

Q: How do I use a coupon or discount code to sign up for a class?

A: Please create an account with us online to sign up for a class with a coupon code or discount code. Please note coupon or discount codes are not valid for specialty classes or pre-discounted classes. CLICK HERE to create your account. 

Q: How many people do I need to have to book a private party?

A: Our studio space is available to book a private party. We host parties for adults and kids. The minimum to host an ADULT paint pARTy at the studio is 8 guests at $35 per person or $280 and a minimum of 10 kids to plan an Art Buzz Kids pARTy at $25 per child or $250. 

We can also bring the fun to you with an On Wheels paint pARTy for a minimum of 10 people to your location. 

Q: What if I less than the minimum on the day of my event?

A: All hosts of a private party are responsible to bring a minimum number of guests for the private room they rent and are responsible to cover the minimum in the event they have less than the required minimum. The small studio has a minimum of 8 guests and the larger studio has a minimum of 15 people.

Q: Can I book a private party with less than 8 guests?

A: If you have a small group with less than 8 participants, we recommend to join a class on our calendar, open to the public! We often have smaller groups paint with us in our public events and will seat you together at a table. When you sign up individually, let us know in the COMMENT BOX your group name so that we know you are all one group. You can bring your own refreshments and even decorations to the class. Q: What is the price for your adult and kids classes?

A: Our painting classes are typically $35 per person for an Adult Wine & Design class and party and $25 per child for an Art Buzz Kids class party. Q: Any other charges I should know about in advance?

A: To book and secure a private event, please call our studio to confirm the event details and contact information. We also would like to review with you our studio policies and need a form of payment to secure your reservation with us. Our studio Phone number is 704.951.5916.

Q: How long is a painting class?

A: All public classes are two hours long of instruction time with our artist. We invite all our guests to arrive 30 minutes early to class to check in with us and to have time to socialize with friends, open refreshments, get situated and/or mingle with friends. The start time posted on the calendar for our classes is the  start time of our painting classes with the artist.

Q: What does the ticket price include?

A: Wine & Design provides a pre-traced canvas per person, 2-hour artist instruction time, music, all painting materials and the apron, wine bottle openers, plastic cups, and an ice bucket. Our professional artist will teach you step-by-step each brushstroke to create your own masterpiece!

Q: Do you sell alcohol, wine, beer, or food? Is wine included?

A: No. We are a BYOB studio which means Bring Your Own Beverage and all in-studio events are BYOB. You may bring wine, beer, Champagne, non-alcoholic beverages along with an appetizer, snack or dessert. There are no restrictions on food. You may also choose to have your event catered. Email us at [email protected] and we would be happy to send you some suggestions of caterers. Some of our off-site location "On Wheels" events at restaurants are not BYOB, but you may purchase beverages/food at the location, depending on the venue.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: The cancellation policy for all public classes on the calendar is 48 hours. To receive a refund, you may cancel anytime up until 48 hours before the event. No refunds or rainchecks are offered for arriving late or no shows to class.

All Private Parties have a 10-day cancellation period. If you cancel 10+ days of your event, we are happy to reschedule your event or cancel altogether. All parties canceled inside the 10-day period, are due the private party minimum.

Q: How do I book a private party?

A: All parties are booked by contacting us over the phone. We will confirm the event details, contact information, studio policies and secure your booking with a form of payment. Once your event is booked on our calendar, we will send you an email with the registration link to send out to your guests, and private party contract with painting link to choose your art. 

Q: Can I choose the painting for my private event?

A: Yes! As the organizer, YOU get to choose the painting. Once your event is booked, we will email you a Google Drive link to view our Wine & Design painting gallery. We will be in touch closer to the date of your event to confirm your head count for your party.

Q: Does every guest have to paint the same art for my private party?

A: We can offer the option to plan an Open Studio style party where everybody paints a different piece of art from our gallery. This is a very fun alternative option to our regular classes. The artist will show every guest how to paint their painting with a sketched canvas and the original art in front of them to serve as a guide. Contact us for this option for your event. Q: Can my party guests pay separately? Can they pay at the door?

A: Yes. Once your event is on our calendar, we will email you the registration link and a Private Event Code. You will need to share the link to the event and the event code with your group to complete their registration & payment online. It is our policy that all guests are signed up and prepaid by the day before your event.

Q: What is the age limit to attend an evening class?

A: We are a family studio and often have younger paints join family participants. It is our policy that guests younger than 21 years old do not consume alcohol and would not attend a class painting a wine glass. All younger painters need to be accompanied by an adult. Please consider the art for the evening when you bring your child to an adult evening class as adult art are a little bit more challenging for kids. Give us a call and we sometimes can offer a different painting for our younger guests.
