Pitching the Perfect Proposal

He put a ring on it! Congrats to Boston Red Sox player Trevor Kelley and his fiancé. Most men ask over dinner, but Kelley took the creative route and asked his gal by writing “Marry Me?” on his canvas one evening at our Wilmington location! How adorable is that? 10+ points for originality and another 10+ for nailing our Christmas Martini painting.

Double Threat

Your girl can sing and paint. American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino brought the whole gang with her to create some festive paintings at our Charlotte studio! Why build a snowman when you can paint one?

Happy National Sangria Day!

When people hear sangria they usually think of summer. However, this wine drink can be enjoyed any time of the year. Below we’ve given our favorite Christmas Sangria recipe from Tablespoon. Not only will it put you in the holiday spirit, but it’s also the perfect drink to bring to a Wine & Design class!

Ingredients:

1 bottle of red wine

2 cups of pomegranate or cranberry juice

1/2 cup apple cider

1/2 cup brandy

1/4 cup honey

Arils from 1 pomegranate

1 cup cranberries

1 chopped green apple or green pear

Directions:

Add fresh fruit to a large pitcher. Combine all the remaining ingredients separately, then add to fresh fruit and stir to combine.
Refrigerate until cold. The longer the sangria sits, the more flavor it will have, so I recommend making it the night before (or even a full day ahead). Cheers!
