COVID-19 Policies Overview

At Art Buzz Kids, your Child’s health and safety is our highest priority.  We have carefully reviewed the COVID-19 standards required by the CDC and NJ Department of Health to make sure we can provide a safe, fun and creative summer.  The following policies will be implemented for our 2020 Summer Camps:

  • We are limiting our overall camp size to no more than 10 campers.
  • Campers will not share art supplies and will have their receptacles to use throughout the week.  Whenever possible or necessary these materials will be sanitized intraday or nightly.
  • Our tables and chairs will also be arranged so that we can also maintain social distancing within the studio.
  • We will have outside check-in and check-out procedures that include a no-contact temperature check each morning for all staff and campers.
  • Masks will be required to be worn throughout camp so we encourage you to send your child with a face mask.  Games and visuals will be used to role play with children in order to reinforce the importance of wearing a mask.
  • If your child is experiencing any sickness or flu-like symptoms, please contact us to reschedule your child to a different week of camp.

Health and Safety-Facilities:

  • Cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting of all surface areas, especially hand-contact surfaces frequently.
  • All hands will be washed upon entry into the building, as well as before and after Lunch.  Hand sanitizer stations will be available around the studio.
  • Disposable aprons will be provided (Clean/washed cloth aprons also available)
  • Drop-off and pick-up times will be staggered to avoid congregating outside the studio.
  • All non-essential visitors are prohibited.
  • Cubbies will be provided to hold snacks, lunch, and beverages for each camper. Bottled water will be provided if needed. Each bottle will be assigned, labeled, and kept in cubbies to limit contact
  • Tables & chairs are rearranged to accommodate social distancing.

Staff

  • All employees will be screened through visual inspection, verbal questioning, temperature checks and health survey when signing in.

  • Parents are expected to pick up their child within a one hour time frame after receiving notification in the event that their child is displaying symptoms during camp.

Children

  • Children will be expected to wear masks at all times.
  • Games and visuals will be used to role play with children in order to reinforce the importance of wearing a mask.
  • Children will be reminded of good hygiene practices, including not touching their faces, covering their coughs, etc.
  • Frequent breaks for handwashing and use of hand sanitizer throughout camp
  • Children will remain in the studio for the duration of the day. No single-day campers allowed
