Homeschool Art - Ages 5+ Drop Off Art Workshops

Welcome to Homeschool Art - a supplemental art experience for creative kiddos! Ages 5+ are welcome at both our structured workshops (Wednesdays 1-2:30 PM) and our freestyle open studio sessions (Wednesdays 2:30 - 4 PM). Book the entire series or drop-in weekly.

Dates for 2026: 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/28, and 11/4. All materials included.

Structured art instruction with weekly project to take-home, 1-2:30 PM: $35 each or $29 each if you purchase all 8 ($232 for 8 weeks). This option works for kids who want to learn about different styles and forms of artistic expression, including art history, painting, drawing and collage. Open studio time with supervision includes one 12 x 16 canvas (for painting) or one posterboard (for drawing): 2:30 - 4 PM = $25 / $19 ($152 total for 8 weeks). Open studio works well for kids who prefer less structure and want to create independently. Combine the 2 for a 1 - 4 PM drop-off time: $50 for one day, $375 for all eight weeks. Coloring sheets, drawing paper, markers and colored pencils are available to students at all times, in addition.

Bring a nut-free snack and water bottle. Parents can access our free onsite parking lot from Glenridge Ave. at the corner of Greenwood Ave. We're in the same plaza as The Little Gym, Labcorp and Professional Physical Therapy.

Behavior expectations: Students are asked to use our bathroom and facilities respectfully. All participants must be able to use the bathroom independently. Damage to property, hate speech and defacing of other artists' work will not be tolerated. Participation is subject to discontinuation without refund for acts of violence, hate speech or damage. Cell phones and other electronic devices are not permitted unless authorized by Wine & Design Montclair.

9/9 - Ancient Art (cave drawing, sand sculpture, etc.)
9/16 - Greek & Roman Art (harmony in mosaic)
9/23 - Medieval Art (Berlinghiero, et al. - flat portraits/2D storytelling)
9/30 - Impressionism (Monet, et al. - capturing light in painting)
10/7 - Surrealism (Dali, et al. - drawing and painting our dreams)
10/14 -Pop Art (irony and humor in art)
10/28 - Collage in Modern Media (magazine art, print making, etc.)
11/4 - Conceptual Art (Sol LeWitt, et al. - exploring minimalism through shapes and color)

All sales are final. In the event that you or Wine & Design must cancel or reschedule a workshop, credit will be given. Refunds are not provided. To secure credit, participants must provide 24-hour notice of cancellation in writing to [email protected].
