Get cozy and create something extra special for the holiday season! Our Merry & Bright Chunky Knit Blanket features a festive Christmas tree pattern with coordinating stripes, created with 7+ skeins of soft, oversized yarn.

This beautiful specialty blanket incorporates pattern-work and color changes for a more detailed chunky knitting experience—and a finished piece you'll be excited to bring out year after year.

This is an intermediate-level chunky knit workshop. We highly recommend attending one of our beginner Chunky Knit Blanket Workshops before registering for this class.

Project Details

Each guest will create one Merry & Bright Chunky Knit Blanket using 7+ skeins of yarn. You'll learn how to follow the Christmas tree pattern, incorporate striping and color changes, and work through the design with guidance from our artist.

Yarn color selection is required in advance. Please email the studio after booking to confirm your color choices.

Plan for Up to 4 Hours

This workshop is scheduled for up to 4 hours to allow plenty of time for instruction, pattern-work, and completion. Experienced knitters may finish more quickly.

At approximately the 3-hour mark, we'll review cast-off and finishing techniques for anyone who would prefer to continue their blanket at home. Guests who choose to finish at home will leave with any remaining yarn needed to complete the pattern, along with printed pattern and knitting instructions.

Because this is a longer workshop, we encourage you to bring along snacks and your favorite beverages to enjoy while you knit and keep your energy up!

Intermediate Workshop

This workshop builds on the foundational techniques taught in our beginner Chunky Knit Blanket Workshops and is not designed as an introduction to chunky knitting.

Previous chunky knitting experience is highly recommended. If you're new to chunky knitting, we recommend attending one of our beginner workshops first so you can become comfortable with the basic techniques before tackling pattern-work and color changes.

Our artist will provide instruction and assistance throughout the workshop, but guests should be prepared for a more detailed project requiring pattern-following and some independent work between instructional steps.

Bring your own beverages and snacks to enjoy while you create.
Beer and wine only. Liquor is not permitted.
Guests must be 21+ to consume alcohol. Please drink responsibly.
We provide cups and bottle openers for your convenience.

Important Event Details

Class begins promptly at the scheduled time. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in and get settled.

Pre-registration is required. Payment must be made online to reserve your seat. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.

This workshop is recommended for ages 18+. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Children under 12 are not permitted in adult classes.

Each person in the studio must have a paid seat.

If you are attending with a group but booking separately, please list all guest names in the comment box at checkout so we can seat you together.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the custom nature of this workshop and advance material preparation, cancellations require at least 48 hours' notice to receive a credit valid for 90 days.
No refunds will be issued. No credit will be given for no-shows.
