Introduction to Glass Blowing Workshop

We're bringing the heat, literally! Join us for an exciting new addition to our collection: our Introduction to Glass Blowing Workshop. In this hands-on class, guests will learn the basics of glass blowing and create three unique blown glass ornaments. Whether you're a total beginner or just curious about the art form, this workshop is designed to be fun, approachable, and one-of-a-kind!

What to Expect: This is a 75-minute workshop. You'll spend the first 30 minutes creating your glass ornaments, followed by 45 minutes of relaxing and sipping while your creations cool. Each guest will be provided with the materials to create three ornaments. Since this is an introductory-level experience, ornaments will vary in shape and size, and may not be perfectly round, each one is a unique work of art!

Important Notes: 18+ ONLY, no exceptions. All participants will be required to sign a liability and safety waiver before the workshop begins. Safety wear is mandatory and will be provided, including safety glasses and gloves. Our instructors will guide you every step of the way to help you create three beautiful ornaments. However, due to the nature of glass blowing, we cannot guarantee all pieces will turn out successfully, and that's all part of the learning experience!

No artistic talent needed! A local Hampton Roads artist will guide you every step of the way, so just show up and we'll take care of the rest.

To go with your painting or crafting experience, we offer food, wine, beer, cider, soda, and other non-alcoholic drinks for purchase separately (they're not included in your ticket price).

We ask that you leave outside food and drinks at home, and please note you must be 21+ to enjoy alcohol in the studio.

Our doors lock 15 minutes after class begins so we don't interrupt the group once everyone's settled in, so guests arriving later than that won't be able to join that class.

If you're paying individually and want to sit with your group, just let us know how many are in your party and everyone's names, either in the comments at checkout or in an email. Age requirements vary by workshop: stained glass classes are for ages 13+, glass blowing and resin workshops are 18+, our chunky knit blanket class is 12+, and painting classes are recommended for ages 8+ unless otherwise noted. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to the start of class.

All sales are final, but if plans change, just let us know at least 2 hours before your class and we'll happily set you up with a class credit instead (valid for 60 days from your original date). No-shows or arrivals more than 15 minutes late won't be eligible for a credit, and if you're more than 15 minutes late, we'll have your canvas or craft supplies packaged up as a take-home kit for you.
