Blown Glass Orb Workshop

BLOWN GLASS ORB EXPERIENCE: Experience the excitement of working with molten glass at Wine & Design Matthews! You'll work alongside a professional glass artist to create three one of a kind blown glass orbs. No prior glass blowing experience is needed; however, participants will blow their own glass pieces and should be comfortable with the breath control required for the process. If you are unable to comfortably blow up a balloon or have a respiratory or other condition that may make this type of activity difficult, we strongly encourage you to choose another one of our creative workshops to enjoy.

WHAT TO EXPECT: This experience lasts approximately 2 hours. You'll create three blown glass orbs, followed by approximately 30 minutes of required cooling time after the final orb is blown. Variations in size and shape are part of the handmade process and make each piece truly one of a kind. Your finished glass orbs will be ready to take home once the cooling process is complete.

BYOB + SNACKS: Our studio is BYOB, and we strongly encourage you to bring your favorite snacks and, if you're 21+, beer, wine, or seltzers to enjoy during the experience. After the final orb is blown, there is approximately 30 minutes of required cooling time before your pieces can safely go home, so bring something to sip or snack on while you relax and enjoy the studio.

SAFETY & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: This is an adults only (18+) experience. Participants must be able to comfortably blow through the equipment used to form their glass pieces. Please consider your individual comfort and ability before registering. All participants must sign a liability waiver, wear the required safety equipment, and follow the glass artist's safety instructions throughout the experience.

ARRIVAL TIME: Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Guests will not be admitted into the studio more than 15 minutes early. Due to the nature of this experience and strict guest to artist safety ratios, instruction begins promptly at the scheduled time. Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late will not be permitted to participate and will be required to pay the applicable rescheduling fee to attend a future available session. Our artists will not pause, repeat, or extend instruction to accommodate late arrivals. Please plan your travel accordingly.

BOOKING REQUIREMENTS: Tickets must be purchased online in advance. Each guest participating must have a paid seat. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to all participation requirements, studio policies, and event terms listed for this workshop.

CANCELLATION POLICY: All sales are final. Refunds are not provided. Guests canceling at least 72 hours prior to the workshop may receive a studio credit. Cancellations made within 72 hours are eligible for studio credit less a $20 restocking fee. No shows do not qualify for studio credit. All studio credits must be used within 60 days of the original event date.

WEATHER & STUDIO CANCELLATIONS: If Wine & Design Matthews must cancel due to minimum enrollment requirements, severe weather, artist availability, or circumstances beyond our control, a studio credit will be issued and must be used within 60 days of the original event date.

PHOTO NOTICE: By attending, you consent to the use of photos and videos for marketing purposes unless you notify our staff upon arrival.

GRATUITY: We believe every guest deserves a VIP experience. Our artists and event team work hard to make every workshop fun, memorable, and exceptional. While never expected, gratuity is always greatly appreciated and directly supports the artists and team who make it all possible.
