Meet Claudia Wooten-Outlaw, franchise owner of Wilmington Wine and Design. After graduating from St. Mary’s College, she began her first career as a travel agent and spent 15 years in the industry, loving every minute of going to work. She then had a great opportunity to head to Arapahoe, NC and work in the marketing department at Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer. For five fun years, she felt like she was the luckiest person that got to go to work (camp) everyday. After leaving camp, she obtained her real estate license and opened her own company. With the down market, she went to work for fun at the Birthplace of Pepsi Cola (New Bern, NC) and ended up staying there many years.
She started searching for the next career chapter in her life…and found it! Her love of the water and her daughter brought her to Wrightsville Beach and to Wine and Design, what a perfect fit. Although she admits that she is not much of an artist, she does love working with people and running a business. She gets so excited meeting everyone at the door and watching them create their own masterpieces. She welcomes the Wilmington area to come out and experience getting their “art buzz on!”
